It was a great Saturday at the Community Center. Miki and friends served a great lunch and we were all sitting around talking story and getting sleepy when Tiffany Edwards Hunt showed up. We were able to chat a bit and get a quick shot.

Pictured from left to right: Miki, Elaine, Tiffany, Marty. John was busy working so we didn't get his shot.We hope the best for Tiffany in the upcoming election. Fred came by  for lunch and brought a couple of nice pineapples. We'll see them in next weeks Aloha lunch.
Carol and Tye brought their new dog to the center to meet the group and we all thought it was some kind of joke because he looks just like Glenda's dog Patches.  We got the together for this pic. They must be cousins.
Carol was very happy with the adoption process and wrote a few words about their experience.

DOG STORY

We had been searching for the right dog for a couple of months when someone recommended Aloha Illi’ o Rescue We called and they asked what kind of dog we were looking for and they brought us 6 dogs to look at. They were all so nice and we had gotten it down to 2 or three dogs. After thinking on it  a bit, we chose Puffy. They brought him back next day and we slept together that night.
We were very happy with their service and love our new dog. We are  bonding well and learning more. New tricks and fun.
The rescue folks charge $100 for the dogs and half is used to purchase another dog to rescue from our overburdened humane society. The dogs are all spayed and neutered. Aloha

THE DOG DAYS of SUMMER

Since we are talking about dogs, I want to let everyone know that Patrice and Michele McDonald and I have been talking about them doing a dog training clinic for us at the end of August.  I will get info out as soon as I can for registration, what you will need to bring, cost, etc.
