Lot's happening in Hawaiian Acres

Here is a message from Miki and a Thanksgiving Dinner invitation from Pualele Ministries:

Aloha Everyone, once again an awesome time spent with good food, our shoyu chicken plate, great friends and blessed fellowship. Please help us continue to get word out, about our Saturday, FREE LUNCH at the Hawaiian Acres Community Center from 12 noon to 2pm. Just a reminder, our FREE THANKSGIVING MEAL will be on November 17th, from 2:30-5:30 pm. We will be serving roast turkey with all the trimmings. So, come, bring the whole ohana, you can sit down or take out. Whatever you choose to do, please come and share God's blessings with us! Mahalo Nui, Paulele Ministry.

The vendors and many visitors  have lunch every Saturday with Miki and her hardworking crew and I want to thank them for killer shoyu chicken last week. Good grindz! We look forward to seeing you folks next Saturday AND hope choke folks join us for the THANKSGIVING DINNER on Nov. 17th. J Osprey

Last week was a busy time for us at Hawaiian Acres. Ben conducted his weekly yoga session from 8-10 am, the vendors sat around and talked story and a couple of vendors actually sold some stuff, and we applauded each of the many trucks as they rolled by full of trash collected by volunteers for the Hawaiian Acres cleanup day. They had a 40 foot Matson container that they were trying to fill with rubbish from the Acres. We have a bunch of super folks; some help govern the Acres and some volunteer their services for the betterment of the community...what a concept!

There is a brand new photo group every Saturday that just started this month. It's free and it is fun! You don't need experience or even a camera...everything is provided. There is a youth age group: 8-17 year olds and the adult group: 18 to 108. (I think that about covers the adults). Just drop by and we'll explain it all.  This month's theme is "Trash Art" and the winner is Jacquelyn Speicher with a photo of her daughter's barbie dolls wearing brown paper bag dresses. Congrats Ladies on such a brilliant idea.

One more thing: We have a pancake breakfast every Saturday morning, so come on by for some great pancakes and coffee....John does a super job cooking every week. OK, 2 more things....there is always room under the big tent for more vendors, or bring your own pop-up or sell from the back of your truck as many do...art, plants, whatevers, just come on down! See Ya.
